[Agvisors] Late Change Petition Information

Hi Agvisors,

I hope everyone's semester is winding down nicely and you are all excited for a long Thanksgiving weekend!  I wanted to give some clarification about the new withdrawal policy and use of the late change petition.

November 21 (last Friday) is listed in the dates and deadlines calendar as the final withdrawal deadline.  Our office is still providing late change petitions to students, however at this late date in the semester the petitions will only be acknowledged for documented extenuating circumstances that prevented the student from making any modification prior to the 11/21 deadline.  Our office will be very strict in enforcing the need for a highly extenuating circumstance.

If students don't have an extenuating circumstance they should be advised to work with their instructor to see if it is possible to be awarded an Incomplete grade (which is completely up to the instructor) or of the complete withdrawal process (which can be completed via the online form through December 10: http://registrar.arizona.edu/complete-withdrawal).
