Dear Distinguished Faculty & Staff,

The UA BookStores strives to offer competitively priced textbooks and outstanding customer service to benefit our community of students, faculty, and staff. During our last fiscal year, we helped students save over $2.5M through rental textbooks, e-textbooks, used textbooks, textbook buybacks, scholarships, and our Lowest Price Guarantee feature. Our success allows us to give even more back to UA programs and initiatives.

We are thus pleased to announce an improved in-store textbook shopping experience. Starting with Summer Sessions, textbooks will be organized alphabetically by author instead of by department. Students' booklists will also be arranged in alphabetical order according to author, but there will be an additional search option to organize textbooks by course. This change will:

*	Reduce confusion for students
*	Eliminate time-consuming "hunts" for books
*	Improve the readability of students' booklists
*	Better regulate the flow of customers on the sales floor 
*	Provide better book availability

We want to make this transition as smooth as possible. In addition to sending an email notification of this change to students in the coming weeks, we have set up tutorials on our website to help explain how to access, sort, and understand the new and improved booklist. Furthermore, our faculty relations and textbook staff are being trained to answer any questions that come up along the way.
