On July 17th & 18th, the University of Arizona will be hosting #SATechAZ
Unconference

As an "unconference" the purpose of

#SATechAZ is to explore emerging technologies and their impact on higher
education, without formal the formal sessions and structures of a
traditional conference.  Participants will identify potential topics in the
days leading up to the "unconference" and participants will be designated to
lead conversations that support the development of best practices for
technology in student affairs.

#SATechAZ is open to all SA professionals, academic advisors, marketing
professionals, IT professionals, and faculty, and may especially include
professionals in roles that deal with social media, web marketing,
virtual/remote teaching/recruiting/counseling, development of online or
software tools for student affairs, academic affairs, website management,
assessment and analytics, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system
management, LMS (Learning Management System) management, and anyone else who
has an interest in how technology intersects with their work in Student
Affairs. You don't have to be a tech savvy to participate, #SATechAZ is
designed to start dialogue and to help people learn and identify ways in
which technology can enhance your work. 

 

#SATechAZ begins with a social and networking event on Thursday, July 17
from 7 - 9pm at Maker House Tucson <https://makerhouse.org/> .  The
"unconference" will be held on Friday, July 18 from 8:30am - 3:30pm at the
University
