Subject: [UPAC] Hyperlink correction for Webinars
Importance: High

My apologies! The hyperlinks for registration are correct in the email sent
yesterday. The attachment with details about the Webinars had an incorrect
link for the Online and Blended Academic Advising.

(First lesson is to make sure all hyperlinks are correct in your advising
email to students..)

Higher education associations and national agencies are promoting President
Obama's goal to increase the number of students who complete degrees,
certificates, and other credentials by 2020. These associations and funding
agencies are supporting institutions that promote degree completion. These
efforts are not restricted to the United States but are part of the
international higher educational picture as well.

In this Web Event, led by NACADA Associate Director Jennifer Joslin, our
panelists will provide an overview of the major issues that are a part of
the Completion Agenda. Join us for a compelling hour-long discussion about
this critical trend in higher education.

Connectivity and digital access is an increasing need for our students and a
vital requirement to excel beyond the higher education learning environment.
Universal design and inclusion through online academic advising can serve as
a method to continue support and connectivity with students. How can
administrators consider, review and implement appropriate online
accommodations for our online learners? As you have witnessed the growth
and shift towards Distance Education, the services that you have provided at
traditionally brick-and0-mortar locales should be mirrored in an online
environment.
