Subject: [UPAC] Writing Program: Final Fall Portfolio Info Session

Dear Advisors,

The Writing Program’s final fall portfolio information session will be held
on Monday, October 7th at 4:00 pm in ML 378. Please direct interested and
eligible transfer students—students with at least 56 transfer units or a
previous bachelor’s degree from an accredited university—to attend this
meeting to learn about what portfolio submission entails.

What is the Transfer Portfolio?
The Transfer Portfolio is a process for eligible transfer students to earn
a waiver for English 101 and/or 102—The University of Arizona’s
Undergraduate General Education and Foundation Composition Requirement. As
the Transfer Portfolio Examination does not grant credit for the courses,
students assume the responsibility to meet with an academic advisor to
determine if a waiver fulfills graduation requirements.

Who is eligible for a Transfer Portfolio?
Students must have at least 56 transfer credits to qualify for a Transfer
Portfolio.

Final Information Session

Monday, October 7 at 4:00 p.m in Modern Languages, Room 378. This is the
last of three information sessions scheduled to talk to students about the
Transfer Portfolio. Only students with 56 or more TRANSFER credits are to
attend this meeting. This is taking the place of the one on one meetings.

Sincerely,
José Cortez, Antonnet Johnson, and Devon Kehler
