[Agvisors] New Student Feature in UAccess Student Center

Smart Planner for students with a catalog year (Requirement term) of
2011-2012 and forward

 

Greetings!

In the interest of empowering you to make informed choices about what
classes to take and helping you stay on track to graduate, CALS advisors
have worked in partnership with the Degree Tracker Project Team to implement
a powerful new academic planning technology-the Smart Planner!

This interactive tool is located in UAccess Student, the Plan Link, and will
allow you to do the following:

.         View a one-page four-year plan to see easily which classes you
have taken and which you have left to take and the recommended sequence for
finishing in four years;

.         Adjust the number of units you plan to take each term (including
adding Summer terms) to outline how much time it will take to graduate if
you reduce and/or increase the number of units you plan to take each term;

.         Drag and drop course requirements from the recommended term to
different terms depending on your unique plan and needs;

.         Select specific courses you prefer from a list of offered courses;

.         Include courses from additional minor(s) or major(s)

This tool will help you with planning and should be used in conjunction with
meeting with your advisor.  If you have questions, there is a "Help" link
that will take you to a new page with Frequently Asked Questions. If you
question is not answered, please feel free to contact us through the "Feed
Back" link. You should not use this to replace your advising appointments.
You, your advisor, and this new technology will each act on your behalf
toward the goal of being a smart planner and thus, a graduate!
