UA Career Services is reducing the department's overall student user fee by
eliminating the $25 Senior Year charge and instituting a $5 fee covering
online career resources each academic year that a student participates. The
small annual $5 fee gives students access to a complement of web and job
posting programs designed to give students not only a sound foundation for
future success, but the tools to find the job of their dreams as they work
their way toward graduation and beyond. 

Just a few (5, to be exact) of the online resources covered in this package
include:

o   Wildcat JobLink - An online job listing program encompassing part-time,
internship and career opportunities exclusively targeted for UA students.

o   Resume referrals - Employers request candidates for job and internship
opportunities and we send out around 26,500 of these resume referrals every
year. 

o   On-campus interviewing - Potential interviews with organizations that
extend from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, coming to the UA
campus looking for our "best and brightest".

o   Career Assessment and Decision-Making tools.

o   Going Global - An extensive database of International employers and how
to tap into international markets from the U.S.

Encourage students to opt IN! Incoming new students accessing the system
during Summer Orientations (i.e. May, June or July) for the following Fall
will have their year extended slightly to avoid being assessed the user fee
twice.

Our message to students: "Your future starts @ 5".$5 a year gets them access
to a whole suite of resources and timely tools that will help them achieve
the success they hoped for when they first stepped on campus.

When it comes to the future, it's really NOT an option. Please encourage
