Writing Placement:

UAENGL Test ID has two (2) test components. These are UAWP and UACH. Below
is information on UACH scores. UAWP scores differ slightly.

UACH are Writing Placement score entries OR changes for students who may
have already been issued a score by placement exam or matrix (UAWP scores).
Students can have multiple UAWP and a UACH scores listed which is why UACH
scores with the most current date override any other UAWP or UACH score in
the system. The system uses this logic for pre-scheduling during orientation
or later for first-time registration.

Students with dual enrollment/transfer credit, AP or IB scores (if student
permits), and placement re-evaluation (to move up or down a placement) are
given UACH scores. Following are the scores and course eligibilities.

students will be registered for 109H in Fall.

99.00

orientation. Student has transfer credit for English that fulfills the
first-year writing requirement.

99.90

pre-scheduled during orientation. Student has REPORTED transfer credit for
English, but has no proof in system or unofficial transcript to show. Once
proof is given, placement is then updated to UACH 102 or 99.0.
