Subject: Application for Graduation Process Changes

Greetings UPAC Members,

Effective March 1, 2012 candidacy fees will be increased to $50.00.  The new
fees will be in effect for December 2012 candidates (and forward).  Students
who have already applied for December 2012 candidacy will not be charged the
additional $15.00.  May and August 2012 candidacy fees will remain at
$35.00.  

In addition, we have established deadlines to apply for graduation as
follows:

a.       December candidacy (including Winter Session conferrals) - March
1st of the penultimate semester

b.      May candidacy - October 1st of the penultimate semester

c.       August candidacy - February 1st of the penultimate semester

Applications will be accepted after the deadline however, a $50.00 Late
Candidacy Application Fee will be assessed.  The first deadline we will
enforce will be the October 1st, 2012 deadline, for May 2013 candidates and
the late fee will be in effect at that time.

We appreciate your support in helping us to make this process much more
proactive.
