Subject: UAccess Upgrade Reminder and Open Labs
Dear Advising Community,
This is a reminder that a new 'look and feel' will be implemented into
UAccess Student and Employee this weekend. There are no business process
changes in this upgrade. The systems upgrade will bring a new menu structure
and new navigation. The most noticeable change you will see upon logging in
on Monday morning is that the current left-hand navigation menus will be
replaced with new drop down menus at the top of the screen. The Student and
Instructor Centers will not be affected by these changes. You can view a
quick demonstration on the Mosaic website to preview what new features will
be available next week: UAccess Upgrade Demonstration Video

SYSTEM DOWNTIME
In order to apply this upgrade, there will be some system downtime this
weekend. UAccess Employee and Student will not be available from 5:00 pm,
Friday, July 15 through 6:00 am, Monday, July 18, 2011 and there will be
some interruptions in the refresh process of UAccess Analytics data although
all data will be refreshed and available as usual on Tuesday, July 19.
OPEN LAB OPPORTUNITIES
In an effort to increase your comfort level with the new 'look and feel' of
the UAccess upgrade coming on Monday, July 18th , the UAccess team is
offering demonstrations and open labs that will allow you to login to a test
system and use the new UAccess in a worry-free environment. UAccess experts
will be on site to assist you with any questions you might have about the
new features. For a full list of available demonstrations and open lab
times, please visit the UITS Workshops page for UAccess Upgrade Demos and
Labs <http://uits.arizona.edu/workshops/workshop_detail?view=232>
If you cannot attend one of the demonstrations or open labs but have
questions about this upgrade, please feel free to ask me by phone or email
and I would be glad to assist.
