UPCOMING EVENTS:

 

Our apologies, we accidentally had an older version of the next Tech Tuesday
article in our November 5 TMN issue that had the old date of 11/12 - it was
rescheduled to 12/10.  The correct information is below:

 

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the date for the next CCT "Tech Tuesday"
has been changed.  CCT will sponsor the event on December 10 at noon in
Forbes 307.  As before, there will be two presentations:  "CCT Video
Production Today and Tomorrow" by our new Video Production Coordinator, Cody
Sheehy; and "Introducing Panopto" by CCT's Educational & Multimedia
Technologies Program Director, Dave Bogner.   The video production
presentation will provide an overview of current changes including new
equipment, personnel, and approaches that can be integrated into the CALS/UA
communication strategies.  Recent projects will be featured as will a glance
into the future to explore the creative possibilities provided by the new
infrastructure.  In addition, the new integrated lecture
capture/archive/delivery system "Panopto" will be demonstrated, including an
overview of CALS classrooms currently configured to record lectures and tips
for implementing the system.  Panopto will be available to all UA faculty
and staff beginning spring of 2014. Presentations will be approximately 15
minutes with time for questions.  Drinks and dessert will be provided.
