[Uaturfinfo] Speakers coming to Baseball Field Turfgrass Management Field Day

An exciting highlight for the coming Field Day & EXPO is 2 featured speakers will be coming.
George Toma, the legendary sports turf manager of the Super Bowl fields will be sharing his experiences to highlight the morning.  Additionally, Chuck White, sports turf manager of the Hall of Fame Stadium turf for the Women’s College World Series will describe his work in Oklahoma.

Register now to attend the Baseball Field Turfgrass Management Field Day & EXPO<http://turf.arizona.edu/> on Tuesday morning, July 31, 2018 at Sloan Park in Mesa.  The spring training home of the Chicago Cubs, Arizona Sports Turf Managers Association, and The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Turfgrass Program will host and conduct the annual Field Day & EXPO.  An expanding EXPO is anticipated to have more allied turf industry representatives displaying and demonstrating products and equipment.
All turf managers and professionals from schools, community colleges, municipalities or other turf facilities are encouraged to attend and bring along coaches, supervisors, and administrators.
Topics of interest will include overseeding and transition; infield skins, mounds, batter’s box maintenance; irrigation system maintenance; painting and striping; weeds, diseases, pest management.
One (1) CEU for pesticide applicator license holders has been approved by the AZ Dept of Ag and DPM .
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
