[Uaturfinfo] 23rd Annual Maricopa County Short Course - "Good & Bad Water on Turfgrass"

*** The Annual Short Course will feature topics on the Winter weather and water supply outlook; Native grasses and alternative ground covers when turf is removed; Deficit irrigation effects on grasses; Cultivation techniques to manage salinity; Remediating saline-sodic fairway soils; and Highlights and lowlights of turf conditions in 2017.
The joint UA - USGA short course will be Wednesday morning, November 29 at the Maricopa Cooperative Extension office in Phoenix.  See attached announcement or link for details<http://turf.arizona.edu>.

*** 6 CEU’s can be obtained at the Pest Management and Pesticide Safety Seminars in Sun City West on November 15  or in Scottsdale on November 16.  Golf pesticide applicators with PUG licenses  can earn credit at either of the sessions. Details and contact information are available.<http://turf.arizona.edu/events.htm>

*** Additional 6 CEU’s will be offered by the AZ Dept of Ag in Maricopa on December 5, Safford on December 6, and in Yuma on December 12 before the pesticide applicator renewals are due December 31.  Call 602-542-3578 for more information.
