Register now by sending in the attached form and let us know that you will be attending the Baseball Field Turfgrass Management Field Day on Tuesday, August 22 at the Reach 11 Sports complex in north Phoenix. http://turf.arizona.edu

The featured speaker that morning will be Grant Trenbeath of the Diamondbacks to describe the day-to-day and season-to-season management routines and the challenges to grow indoor natural grass.  UA Extension Turf Specialist, Dave Kopec will outline the procedures to overseed winter turf.  Other highlights will be demonstrations of baseball field “dirt” management by several representatives of the staffs of Cactus League baseball stadium complexes; Brian Johnson of ASU will be demonstrating logo painting; turf and irrigation and spray equipment demonstrations; along with several vendors on hand to share their products and expertise.

Vendors committed to supporting the event to date include: Calsense, Hunter Industries, IAS Labs, Jacobsen, Profile Products, and Simpson-Norton Toro.  Additional pledged support to date include: AD Williams, Evergreen Turf, Ewing Irrigation, Helena Chemical, Kansas City Royals, Pioneer Athletics, Simplot Partners, Southwest Turf Support, Sports Turf Services, Stabilizer Solutions, Stotz Equipment John Deere, Target Specialty Products, Texas Rangers, and Wilbur Ellis Company.
