Plan now to attend and participate in the 22nd Annual Maricopa County Short Course that will feature “Development and Prevention of Herbicide Resistance by Weeds in Desert Crops and Turf  & Ornamentals” on September 13 in Phoenix.  Requests for 4 CEU’s from AZ Dept of Ag and OPM have been submitted.

Join Bill McCloskey, UA Extension Weed Specialist, George Friswold, UA Extension Economist, and Kai Umeda, Turfgrass Agent for an afternoon series of presentations describing the history of herbicide resistance by weeds; the over-reliance on herbicides for weed control; managing weed seed populations and other tactics; herbicide applications technologies; and community-wide economic and social impacts of herbicide resistant weeds.
