[Uaturfinfo] Mark calendars and plan to attend

*  All schools, colleges, and cities that have synthetic turf sports and recreational fields should plan to send representatives to attend the UA Turfgrass Program’s Synthetic Turf Field Day at Arizona Stadium in Tucson on Thursday, October 30, 2014. Mark your calendars and watch for program details that will include inspecting 2 turf fields, observing the irrigation system and several maintenance equipment, and turf quality testing equipment.

*  This Friday, September 19 is the deadline to register for the Cooperative Extension Centennial Celebration on October 4 at the Phoenix Zoo.  The evening’s agenda and online registration can be accessed at: http://extension.arizona.edu/celebrating-past-envisioning-future-centennial-event
Two Centennial Honorees influential in the golf and turfgrass industry will be Mr. Bill Emerson and Dr. Leah Brilman.

*  The Desert Turfgrass School will be January 5-9, 2015 in Phoenix and the week’s program and registration information is at:  http://turf.arizona.edu
There is a discounted registration fee is mailed in before December 1 and online registration is also available.
