[Uaturfinfo] Save the dates for UA Turf offerings

Get your calendars out and mark the following dates for turfgrass education opportunities and to get updated on many new research findings from the University of Arizona Turfgrass Research & Extension program:

1.  April 10 will be the Turfgrass Field Day at the UA Karsten Research Center in Tucson from 8 am to noon;

2.  May 2 will be the Annual Spring Turfgrass Seminar at the UA Cooperative Extension in Phoenix that will focus on identifying and solving soil and water conditions for turf from 8 am to noon;

3.  May 24 will be a joint USGA and UA hosted turfgrass coloring/painting seminar at the Paradise Valley Country Club in Paradise Valley that will feature a turf research expert on painting; (a preview of some highlights can be seen at the USGA Green Section Record  http://archive.constantcontact.com/fs003/1103157499740/archive/1109195437343.html 

4.  Early April to be determined will be a demonstration of a new herbicide for Poa annua control on golf greens;

5.  2013 Desert Turf School will be offered January 7-11, 2013 in Phoenix so participants can sign up already.
