*** Monsoons have arrived and “hay-baling” season ought to be here for a good “100 days” of bermudagrass growing. All overseeded winter grasses should be gone and if not, consider using transition-aid herbicides to eliminate competition against bermudagrass. Aerifying activities should also be moving along to relieve compaction, get the water and air to the roots, leach the detrimental sodium out of rootzones, reduce organic layer buildup, and to beat out any straggling winter grasses.
