<div>Please join us for an informal and impromptu seminar “Phenomics to determine yield potential of crops and plants” by Dr. Xavier Sirault, Director - High Resolution Plant Phenomics Centre at CSIRO Canberra Area, Australia. Phenomics have the potential to
identify traits and accelerate progress in plant breeding programs that would not otherwise have been possible. Phenomics involves high resolution sensing of various spectra of radiation reflected from the crop canopy in order to determine characteristics
such as disease resistance, water use efficiency, and yield potential. The High Resolution Plant Phenomics Centre at CSIRO has the capability to phenotype plants in the growth chamber, greenhouse and field using fixed or mobile platforms and has been in operation
since 2007.</div>
