Thanks Chris,

Just to clarify, NEON (National Ecological Observatory Network) a very
long term (30 yrs) NSF funded field work oriented effort (similar to the
LTER) collects ecological data including remote sensing over many sites,
and one is right here (UA managed Santa Rita Experimental Range, about 30
miles south of Tucson). They will fly (low altitude) their AOP (Airborne
Observation Platform) fixed-wing airplane equipped with Lidar,
Hyperspectral (AVIRIS like), and RGB cameras and collect extremely rich
data.
Many of us at the UA (ex: SNRE) join to collect concurrently field data
especially Drone-based. If anyone wants to join (fly a drone) they will
need to get permission (involvepaperworkrk through Dr. Mitch McClaran, the
director of SRER).

Best
