[Staff] Women’s History Month and Arizona Women in Higher Education (AWHE) Conference

In honor of Women’s History Month, ALVSCE Staff Council wants to say thank you to all of the women who are part of ALVSCE University Staff. We have a wonderful group of women we get to work with each and every day that not only keep our division running beautifully but help make ALVSCE the best places to work. To celebrate all of you, ALVSCE Staff Council is excited to announce that we will be providing up to 10 scholarships for the Conference Registration Fee (only) to women staff who want to attend the Arizona Women in Higher Education (AWHE) Conference<https://awhe.org/2023-conference/#!event-register/2023/4/19/2023-conference-tba>. The conference is held in Scottsdale, AZ from April 19th to the 21st with options to attend in person and virtually. In order to apply, please follow the instructions below and submit your packet by March 15th, 2023.

  *   Provide answers to the following questions. No more than one-page total is requested:
     *   How are you planning to pay it forward if you attend this conference?
     *   What are you looking to get out of this conference?
     *   What other professional development opportunities have you attended in the last two years?
     *   Does your unit have dedicated funding for professional development?

As a reminder, the ALVSCE Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council is hosting a discussion Supporting Women in Academia on Monday, March 6.  Faculty, staff, and graduate students are invited to attend to build collegial allyship.  Find the registration link and additional information on the attached flyer.
