Other major job responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Provide educational program support, <span style="display: inline; text-decoration-line: inherit; text-decoration-style: inherit; text-decoration-color: inherit;">training/professional</span> development, technical expertise and program support to County Extension Agents in rangeland management, emphasizing beef cattle and livestock.</li><li>Cooperate with internal and external stakeholders, including other Specialists and AgriLife personnel, state and federal agencies, commodity groups, private industry, private landowners, and non-governmental organizations to develop educational programs for diverse audiences by implementing innovative approaches to solve emerging and priority rangeland problems.</li><li>Pursue and acquire external funding support for leveraging state funds to assist in the development of Extension education programs.</li><li>Develop a portfolio of education materials, publications, peer-reviewed articles, online and electronic applications, newsletters and scholarly output, such as podcasts and webinars, to support Extension programming efforts.</li><li>Work both individually and as a team member to educate adult and youth audiences to promote rangeland management through planning, implementing, and evaluating educational curricula, applied research and result/demonstration projects, field tours, field days, and other events/activities.</li><li>Develop relationships with appropriate media outlets (print, electronic, TV) and apply distance education approaches where appropriate to multiply Extension education and reach emerging, new and more diverse audiences.</li><li>Other duties may be assigned as required.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>REQUIREMENTS</b>:</p><p>Ph.D. in Rangeland, Wildlife, or other Natural Resources related discipline. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups, communicate effectively, conduct interdisciplinary program development, and effectively apply teaching and research methodologies as required. Evidence of conducting applied research and translating results relevant to the public is strongly preferred. <span>The equivalent of two years in Extension, teaching, research, post-doctoral or related professional experience is preferred. </span></p><p></p><p><b>RESOURCES</b>: The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is a State of Texas agency housed with Texas A&M University (TAMU) with high-quality academic and agency units located across Texas. Opportunities will exist to collaborate with faculty, research scientists and staff across the Texas A&M University System.
