technician position with the U.S. Geological Survey Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center that includes two 17-day oar trips through Grand Canyon for riparian vegetation monitoring and one 4-day monitoring trip in Glen Canyon. It is based out of Flagstaff,
AZ. July will be spent working on a plant physiological greenhouse experiments and prepping for fall field work. August, September, and October are spent largely in the field. The required field work dates are August 10-13, August 24 - Sept 10, and Sept 29
- October 16. There will be prep before and after each of these field hitches, as well. November, December, January are primarily data entry and management. Experience identifying southwestern plants, conducting ocular cover estimates, managing data, and conducting
field work in a remote wilderness setting are required.</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
