</span></b><span style="font-size:18.0pt">is partnering with four-year Minority Serving Institutions to offer highly qualified students professional experience through our newly established “Science in Action” summer training program.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:18.0pt">This unique training program provides students the opportunity to study with world-renowned scientists in the USDA-ARS-PWA to gain hands-on experience working on cutting edge research
in many areas including: Food Science, Crop Production, Plant Genetics and Breeding, Entomology, Natural Resources, Bioproducts, and Engineering. This is a fully funded 8-week summer internship. Based on successful completion of the first year, students may
have an option to complete a second 8-week internship the following summer.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:18.0pt">Internships will be offered in the following states: California, Utah, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:18.0pt">Students are required to complete an application, including a current resume, official transcripts and two letters of recommendation.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:16.0pt">Interns will develop skills and knowledge to better prepare them for science jobs with USDA-ARS-PWA.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
