<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">Just in case you know anybody who would be interested. Burns can be a challenging place to live for some people, but he ARS unit there is excellent. There have not been that many opportunities for permanent
ARS jobs in the last 5 years or so. This is a real opportunity. This isn’t a post-doc so would be open for anyone from a recent PhD to mid-career, although qualification for GS12 would probably require some actual publications beyond just a dissertation.</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal">Greetings from Burns. USDA Agricultural Research Service has been under a hiring freeze for permanent positions for about the last one and a half years. We have recently been informed that freeze will be lifting somewhat with a portion
of the open positions to be advertised in the coming months. With that in mind it is very likely that two scientist positions (permanent positions) at the Burns, OR location will be opening up for advertisement and hiring in the next few months. Those positions
will include a Seedling/Restoration Ecologist, and a Landscape Ecologist. I have attached an overview of each of these positions.</p>
