<span>POSITION DESCRIPTION </span><br>
<span>The position will conduct habitat surveys in mountain streams as a crew, deploy and maintain stream temperature data loggers, assist with stream habitat restoration projects, and conduct fish surveys where needed to supplement surveys conducted by the
state game and fish department or to remove nonnative trout from areas where Rio Grande cutthroat trout and other native fish occur.

<span>Well-qualified applicants should have experience and skills in conducting physical habitat surveys in mountain streams, experience following survey protocol documents closely, collecting high quality data and entering it into spreadsheets, skills in the
use of field equipment including GPS, flow meter, digital camera, electrofisher, water quality meters.

<span>The work will occur in variable weather conditions and applicants should be willing to camp near the field sites either in a undeveloped site or in a USFS campground. The crew will be working closely and camping in the field together and so should have
the ability to work as a team and get along. The work can be strenuous and so applicants should be able to carry at least a 30 pound pack and wade safely in streams. Also need to have a valid driver's license. </span><br>
