<p class="MsoNormal">My name is Thad Berrett and I am a Rangeland Management Specialist with the Forest Service on the Bighorn National Forest in Buffalo, Wyoming. I am trying to get the word out for a Pathways Intern Indefinite range position here on the
Bighorn National Forest and have just recently gotten approval to move forward with this position. Therefore it was not open and available for those attending the SRM meeting last week. For those familiar it is the old SCEP positions where the government
hires a student preferably about their sophomore/junior year and trains them up while working throughout the summers. Once they complete their degree in a related field and have fulfilled 640 hours of work for the agency, the agency can offer them a permanent
position without them having to compete further. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">So, I am sending this outreach in hopes that you all can help get the word out to promising young sophomores or students who would be able to meet the requirements upon graduation. I am looking for a motivated individual who is looking
for a great opportunity for on the job training and the possibility of getting into the Forest Service at this early stage of their education. This student hire will get experience across the Forest over the next couple of summers. The hopes would be that
we would be able to offer them a GS-5/7/9 permanent position here on the Forest upon graduation and if there end up not being any positions on this Forest the offer would extend to the remainder of Region 2. Please get this word out quickly as I hope to have
the position flown on USA jobs in late February or early March. It will be a GS-3 starting this summer.<o:p></o:p></p>
