<span lang="EN-NZ" style="">We are seeking a talented quantitative postdoctoral fellow to take on an exciting project as part of the Plant Biosecurity Cooperative Research Centre (<a href="http://www.pbcrc.com.au/home" style="color: purple; text-decoration: underline; ">http://www.pbcrc.com.au/home</a>).
The successful candidate will be working on the application of citizen science data streams to biosecurity applications. The CSIRO is seeking to deepen its abilities to undertake quantitative research underpinning biosecurity decision making.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span><span style="">Citizen
Science offers new streams of data to support effective surveillance, potentially leading to better management by primary producers, better decision making by governments, and better engagement by communities in managing biosecurity. This project will assess
the information content in the data and determine what role, if any, the data has in supporting biosecurity surveillance activities.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span><span lang="EN-NZ" style="">The work is multi-disciplinary and multi-agency,
with staff from CSIRO, and both state and federal departments of Agriculture, Fisheries & Forestry. We are looking for someone with a </span><span style="">PhD qualification in statistics or mathematics, with demonstrable conceptual and practical knowledge
