Hello Tierra Seca members,<div><br></div><div><br></div><div>This is a reminder to please <u><b>R.S.V.P. to me via email</b></u> for our upcoming paid field work opportunity. We will be spending the day on <u><b>Friday November 2</b></u> (that's Friday of this week) helping the NRCS and Altar Valley Conservation Alliance with some vegetation monitoring on the Elkhorn Ranch (SW of Tucson). </div>
<div><br></div><div><br></div><div>If you want to learn more about rangeland vegetation monitoring, this is a great way for you to get some practical, hands-on experience!</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>We will meet up with the NRCS staff in Tucson at 6:45am, then depart for the ranch at 7:00am sharp. We expect to return to Tucson by late-afternoon the same day. The drive is expected to be about 1.5 hours one-way, but the scenery is really beautiful.</div>
<div><br></div><div><br></div><div>You will need to bring:</div><div><ul><li>Appropriate clothing and shoes for being outside in the sun all day</li><li>Hat</li><li>Sunscreen</li><li>Plenty of Water</li><li>Lunch and snacks</li>
<li>Consider a jacket for the cooler morning temperatures</li></ul><div><br></div></div><div><br></div><div>Again, please let me know if you want to participate in this really great fundraising and rangeland monitoring opportunity! (I especially encourage URME team members to participate to help raise money for our trip to Oklahoma City!)</div>
