<span>The Blue Ridge Berryessa Natural Area (BRBNA) Conservation Partnership provides a forum and opportunities for public resource agencies, private landowners and individuals, and non-profit organizations to work together to protect the natural and working
landscape known as the Blue Ridge Berryessa Natural Area. Their mission is to promote the conservation and stewardship of the BRBNA through collaboration among regional stakeholders.</span><br>
<span></span><br>
<span>Roles and Responsibilities</span><br>
<span></span><br>
<span>The Partnership’s Program Director facilitates communication, coordination, and collaboration of BRBNA partners and supports project planning and delivery for key Partnership priorities, as defined in the BRBNA strategic and annual plans. The Program
Director provides leadership in outreach to key partners and funders, to expand engagement and to secure financial and other resources. Under the direction of the BRBNA Steering Committee, the Program Director also works closely with sub-committees and in
consultation with the Advisory Committee.</span><br>

<span>Specific responsibilities are as follows:</span><br>
<span></span><br>
<span>Partnership Administration & Management</span><br>
<span>• Assist Steering Committee in planning and facilitating meetings of the Partnership and Steering Committee.</span><br>
<span>• Develop annual work plan and budget working with the Steering Committee chair.</span><br>
<span>• Coordinate updates of the BRBNA strategic plan, as needed.</span><br>
<span>• Assure sound financial management and budget administration, working with the fiscal agent (Land Trust of Napa County).</span><br>
<span>• Assure Steering Committee is fully informed about Partnership activities. Prepare regular progress reports and other key materials as needed.</span><br>
<span>• Support Steering Committee and other work groups as needed.</span><br>
<span></span><br>
<span>Resource Development & Management</span><br>
<span>• Based on Partnership priorities, identify project development opportunities and shape proposals to achieve Partnership goals.</span><br>
<span>• Assume primary responsibility for grants administration, and management of the membership program.</span><br>
<span>• Maintain relationships with funding agencies and other major donors.</span><br>
<span>• Recruit and manage interns as needed to support administrative, outreach, and project delivery needs.</span><br>
<span></span><br>
<span>Outreach & Community Engagement</span><br>
<span>• Assure website is maintained and updated regularly, working with a web manager as needed.</span><br>
<span>• Promote public awareness about BRBNA activities through e-news and other forums as opportunities arise.</span><br>
<span>• Attend relevant conferences and other partner and community meetings consistent with annual work plan priorities and goals.</span><br>
<span></span><br>
<span>Project Planning & Management</span><br>
<span>Provide project planning, administrative and management support to assure project goals are met as defined in project workplans. In 2012/13 the Program Director will provide support to the following projects:</span><br>
<span></span><br>
<span>• Eticuera Creek Watershed Restoration Project</span><br>
<span> Provide overall project direction in consultation with Stewardship Committee.</span><br>
<span> Organize and attend quarterly Stewardship Committee meetings.</span><br>
<span> Develop projects contracts and oversee sub-contractors.</span><br>
<span> Administer project grants.</span><br>
<span>• Land Conservation Working Group Project</span><br>
<span> Organize and carry out quarterly meetings.</span><br>
<span> Facilitate cooperation according to MOU.</span><br>
<span> Ensure completion of CAPP and guide implementation.</span><br>
<span> Support members in project development.</span><br>
<span> Prepare grants proposals.</span><br>
<span>• Landowner Support& Engagement</span><br>
<span> Identify and recruit private landowners (large and small) to support the vision and mission of the Partnership.</span><br>
<span> Develop specific opportunities for involving landowners in conservation efforts.</span><br>
<span> Help forge cooperative relationships and agreements between private landowners and public agencies and non-profits groups such as land trusts.</span><br>
<span> Develop and coordinate a strategy for fundraising from landowners.</span><br>
<span></span><br>
<span>Desirable Knowledge and Skills</span><br>
<span></span><br>
<span>• Background in land conservation and natural resource management.</span><br>
<span>• Familiarity with private land, ranching management issues in California.</span><br>
<span>• Experience in land conservation and familiarity with land trust work.</span><br>
<span>• Familiarity with the BRBNA and/or similar landscapes in CA.</span><br>
<span>• Experience in supporting or leading partnerships and collaboration in natural resource programs.</span><br>
<span>• Demonstrated competency in program and project management.</span><br>
<span>• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and experience facilitating teams.</span><br>
<span>• Strong demonstrated skills as a writer and presenter.</span><br>
<span>• Ability to understand and communicate differences in perspective with experience in building agreements where needed, working with diverse partners and stakeholders.</span><br>
<span>• Background in fundraising and grant administration.</span><br>
<span>• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and some experience in donor management software.</span><br>
<span>• Working knowledge of a variety of new media including participatory web tools and social media.</span><br>
<span>• Ability to travel throughout region.</span><br>
<span></span><br>
<span>Salary & Benefits: Compensation range is $30-35 per hour (as employee) or $60-70 (as consultant) commensurate with experience (employment arrangement to be decided based on desires of fiscal agent and person hired.) Up to 20 hours per week, flexible schedule
(grant income dependent).Travel costs and other expenses reimbursable. Home office desirable but other options can be explored</span><br>
