SUPERVISOR POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT<br><br>Lincoln County Weed and Pest Control District Board of Directors are<br>seeking a full-time employee for the position of "Supervisor". This will be an exempt, at-will, full-time position with District benefits including health insurance and retirement plans. This position is salaried with a starting range of $50,000 - $60,000 per year depending on qualifications, experience and education.<br><br>Position Requirements: An agricultural background with either a M. Sc. and<br>or a B.S. degree in Weed Science, Entomology or closely related field or<br>equivalent work related experience in the field of weed and pest<br>management. Must be certified as a Weed & Pest Supervisor in the State of<br>Wyoming or be willing to become certified within two years. Successful<br>applicant must obtain a Wyoming Commercial Pesticide Applicator's
License.<br><br>Personal Requirements: Applicant needs to present a professional attitude<br>at all times and be able to communicate with area landowners, federal,<br>county and local agencies. Applicant must demonstrate knowledge of<br>various invasive and noxious weeds and pests and how they can impact the<br>environment and agricultural production. The applicant must be able to<br>recommend proper weed control methods in agricultural crops and rangeland.<br>Applicant must be motivated with a strong work ethic. Enthusiasm for early<br>detection/rapid response to weeds is essential. Knowledge of spray rig<br>operation is essential as well as maintenance of vehicles and spray<br>equipment. Welding experience and fabrication of spray equipment would be<br>advantageous. Experience in map reading and knowledge of GIS/GPS systems,<br>Arc View or related applications is mandatory. Familiarity in grant<br>writing would be
valuable. Previous supervisory experience is desired.<br><br>Job Description: The individual will become the leader of a team whose<br>mission is to carry out an effective weed control program for Lincoln<br>County Weed and Pest Control. The individual will be responsible for the<br>supervision of approximately 20 employees. The supervisor will hire<br>personnel, maintain a functional office, conduct a public education<br>program, assure compliance with State and Federal regulations, keep<br>appropriate records, help construct and maintain budgets, conduct<br>contracting and bidding and maintain individual and inter-agency contacts.<br>The individual will be responsible for helping to educate the public as<br>well as encourage weed control upon private and public lands. As<br>Supervisor, the individual will follow the guidelines outlined in the<br>Wyoming Weed and Pest Control Act.<br><br>Location: This position will
