<p><font color="#004080" size="2" face="Calibri">Through the Sage-Grouse Initiative (SGI<a></a>), NRCS<a></a> and its Conservation Partners have combined resources to</font><font size="3">
</font><font color="#004080" size="3" face="Calibri">increase technical assistance to western farmers and ranchers to accelerate implementation of practices designed to achieve sage-grouse conservation through sustainable ranching. This collaborative effort
is being coordinated through a master agreement with the Intermountain West Joint Venture and Pheasants Forever in cooperation with 20 partners including state and federal agencies, conservation districts, non-government organizations and private industry.
17-24 new positions will be hired and supervised by non-federal partners, placed in NRCS<a></a> service centers, and will be made available for 3 years in California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, South Dakota, Washington, and Wyoming.</font>
