Job Title: Part-Time Director of Operations
Organization: SkyHarvest
Location: Hybrid/Cochise County, Arizona
Hours: 80 hours/month
Salary: $30,000/year

About Us:
SkyHarvest is a dedicated ecological restoration 501(c)(3) organization focused on promoting sustainable practices and advancing community engagement in restoration and sustainability initiatives. We are seeking a passionate and skilled part-time director to join our team and lead our efforts in grant writing, fundraising, and project management. Founded in 2022, SkyHarvest is growing, and the role of director will shift to full time in the future. Read more at skyharvest.eco

Position Overview:
The part-time director will be responsible for overseeing the organization's strategic initiatives, with a primary focus on securing funding, managing projects, and ensuring alignment with our mission. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
*  Grant Writing: Research, write, and submit grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, government agencies, and other sources.
*  Fundraising: Develop and implement fundraising strategies, including events and campaigns, to meet financial goals.
*  Project Management: Define project objectives and benchmarks, ensuring successful execution and alignment with organizational goals.
*  Budgeting: Create and manage project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and transparency.
*  Reporting: Prepare regular reports for stakeholders, including progress updates for funders and the board.
*  Collaboration: Work closely with project managers to support project development and implementation.
*  Board Liaison: Serve as a key point of contact between the organization and the board of directors, providing updates and facilitating communication.

Preferred Skills:
*  Experience and/or education in grant writing, fundraising, and non-profit management.
*  Familiarity with ecological restoration objectives and best practices.
*  Experience in project management and organizational leadership.
*  Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and reporting processes.
*  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
*  Passion for environmental issues and commitment to the mission of SkyHarvest.
