Description: The Angelo Coast Range Reserve<https://angelo.ucnrs.org> (ACRR), one of 41 sites in the University of California Natural Reserve System, is seeking to hire a Reserve Steward. ACRR is located in the Northern California Coast Range along the Eel River. The reserve includes about 8,050 acres of mixed canopy mostly old-growth forest, dissected into steep hillslopes, and bordered by the salmon-bearing South Fork Eel River and its tributaries. The reserve is intended to provide research, teaching, and outreach opportunities in a protected natural environment. The ACCR is affiliated with UC Berkeley and is frequently used by Berkeley faculty and students, but also by researchers across the United States and elsewhere. Among the many projects at the Reserve, the ACCR is the home of the still operating Eel River Critical Zone Observatory.

Job Responsibilities: The work responsibilities are focused on reserve infrastructure and operations maintenance, providing logistical support and assistance as needed in construction and installation of equipment. The steward will also manage visitors to the reserve and often interact with research groups.  We seek individuals with experience or applicable skills in building and grounds maintenance. This is a full time, permanent position with full benefits. Housing can be provided. See detailed job description and required qualifications in the listing.
