Hello,

I am hiring a permanent technician in Burns, Oregon, with USDA-ARS. I would love your assistance getting the word out. The person would be working on a variety of research projects broadly focused on management, restoration, and ecology of sagebrush steppe ecosystems. There is a lot of flexibility and opportunity for growth in this position, including independent research and training in areas of interest.

The salary range is $39,576-77,955, GS 5-9. Application deadline: March 7, 2024 (open now!). The position is advertised under two announcements in USAJOBS: public<https://www.usajobs.gov/job/777689900> and current federal employees/other categories<https://www.usajobs.gov/job/777693400>. Only one person will be hired. Applicants should make sure to include all required documents and include as much relevant information as possible in their resumes to make sure their related experience is accounting for in the initial HR steps. I recommend people apply under both announcements, if they qualify for both, and multiple GS levels (with the minimum being the minimum they would be willing to accept).

Please forward to anyone you think would be interested, and let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you,
Stella
