Hello,

I’m with the Workforce Planning, Outreach and Engagement Section with the Farm Production and Conservation Mission Area in USDA. I’m reaching out to share an exciting job opportunity for a GS 5/7/9 Soil Conservationist with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Please share with your agricultural students, recent graduates, and/or members of your organization. These are full-time, entry level positions. We will be making numerous selections through multiple vacancy announcements. Here are links to the job announcements by region:

The announcements are currently open and will close at 11:59 eastern time on Monday, May 15, 2023.

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined in the job announcement.

A soil conservationist with NRCS offers conservation planning and technical support to agricultural producers, helping them implement practices that sequester carbon, mitigate against climate change and conserve other natural resources. This next generation of conservation talent will help NRCS build upon its long history of working one-on-one with producers to establish conservation on the ground.

Please contact me with any questions and let me know if you’d be interested in receiving additional job announcements like this from USDA NRCS in the future.

Thanks!
