[SRM] FW: Kaibab botanist vacancy

Hi All-

I'm excited to share that the Kaibab National Forest (North Kaibab Ranger District) is filling an advanced trainee Botanist position 5/7 (full performance level of GS-9) duty stationed in Fredonia AZ, approximately 8 miles from Kanab Utah. The North Kaibab RD borders Grand Canyon National Park, BLM, tribal and state lands and is a regional priority landscape for the USFS.  We are filling this position through the Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS) hiring event and they are open now through April 20.  These positions may be filled through either the Recent Graduates link OR the merit-promotion (current federal employees only) vacancies.
The Recent Graduates Program affords developmental experiences in the Federal Government intended to promote possible careers in the civil service to individuals who have recently graduated from qualifying educational institutions or programs. Current students who are scheduled to graduate within nine months may also apply to these positions. However, these students cannot be appointed until after graduation and the official degree has been awarded and conferred.
