[SRM] Two upcoming workshops: grass identification and plant collecting

FW:  Hi folks,

The University of Arizona Herbarium and the Arizona Native Plant Society will be conducting two, short, non-credit course for people interested in either 1) grass identification or 2) general plant identification, collecting, and processing protocols for herbaria. Grass Class
Dates: August 12 and 26 (this is a single 2-day class)
Times: 9 AM to 3 PM-ish
Where: University of Arizona Herbarium in Herring Hall
Fee: About $40 (we don't know the cost of materials yet)

This class is a rather intense crash course in grass identification. The class is meant for people who are seriously interested in identifying species in a difficult family. About half the time each day will be spent on understanding grass terminology, and the remaining half will be spent as lab time identifying and understanding specimens.

PAPAZ (Plant Atlas Project of Arizona)<https://aznps.com/papaz-project/>
Dates: August 18, 19, and 20 (this a single 3-day class)
Times: 9 AM to 3 PM-ish
Where: University of Arizona Herbarium in Herring Hall
Fee: Attendees are asked to spend a minimum of two days in the future collecting for any PAPAZ project.

This class is for people new to plant collecting. PAPAZ class is a Botany 101 course in 3 days. Two days are spent in the herbarium learning fundamental plant terminology, plant ID, herbarium protocols, and botanical-study resources. The third day is a field course in plant collection. People who complete the course will be ready to work on any of the various PAPAZ projects in Arizona.
