Subject: [SRM] Soils classes for fall 2022
Importance: High

Hi all,
I just wanted to remind EMRR students that both ENVS 300 Soil Ecology and ENVS 431 Soil Genesis/Class will be offered in fall 2022. These classes have not been offered in a while and are likely to be on an every other year schedule--that has not yet been determined by the ENVS department. This would mean they might not be offered again until fall 2024.
You might want to make at least one of them a priority if you are interested in the Rangeland Management Specialist or Soil Conservationist job series. You need 15 units in the area of animal sciences, plant sciences and soil sciences to qualify for the RMS job series and at least one or two in addition to the intro to soils class you are required to take for the Soil Conservationist series.

ENVS 401 Sustainable Management of Salt Affected Soils will be offered spring 2023.

More on those requirements can be found on our website<https://nature.arizona.edu/undergraduate/ecology-management-restoration-rangelands>. Please let me know if you have any questions about those.

Best,
Katie
