Folks, please help me circulate the advertisement of the Rangeland
Management Specialist GS-09/11 on the Apache-Sitgreaves National
Forests, *Clifton
Ranger District*.

This is a rewarding position with challenging opportunities on a complex
District heavily involved with, resource management, recreation and
Fuels/Rx Burn programs. Developing grazing management in concert with
Threatened and Endangered species habitat is a large responsibility of this
position. The District Ranger is looking for an individual with excellent
communication skills, a sharp ability to identify problems/solutions,
develop external partnerships, and work as an integral part of
interdisciplinary teams.  The district encompasses 500,000 plus acres with
elevations ranging from 3500 to 9000 ft.  The varied topography, flora and
fauna make this an exceptionally beautiful district to work in.  The area
is very remote and rugged.  Navigation skills and the physical ability to
traverse difficult terrain is required.  Work is performed both in office
and field settings.  Horsemanship skills or the willingness to learn them
is desired. The selected individual should possess a high level of
initiative and commitment to the District and Apache-Sitgreaves NF goals
and be willing to contribute to the mission by working within other
disciplines as needed.
