Welcome back Tierra Seca!



Well, it’s that time of year again and we are gearing up to begin Plant ID
practices for the national SRM contest to be held virtually in February
2021. Justin, Brandon, and I have been working behind the scenes to
determine the best strategy to move forward with online practices and the
digital contest this year. For those interested in learning more about the
Plant ID team and rangeland plants, our first meeting will be *Monday,
September 14 from 5-7pm via Zoom* (link below).



We will talk about the contest, what we are aiming for this year,
expectations from the students, finalize practice day/time, go over some
plant anatomy, and most importantly, have a good time! We are looking
forward to seeing some familiar faces and warmly welcome new ones! As a
team, we aim to keep it fun while learning common plants that you will
encounter and refining your identification skills that will serve you well
in your future career as a professional in range management. Please join us
