Good Afternoon ~

I would like to make you aware of the 750+ Pathways Internships & Recent Graduate opportunities with USDA-NRCS.  Below is a schedule with the anticipated dates and type of job announcements.  As always, all job announcements will be posted on www.usajob.gov, and in most cases, will be open for approximately a 5-day period.  Students/Applicants are encouraged toapply early in the announcement period, as our HR folks will impose applicant cut offs based on the volume of applications.

Our national Soil and Plant Science Division is making a specific outreach push for their student/recent graduate positions (approx. 70).  The attached flyer includes an invitation for students and faculty to an Oct. 8th Webinar as well as other helpful information.  Students majoring in Soils and Ecology are a couple of the targeted majors, but the link to the Divisions “Recruitment Toolbox” highlight other disciplines/majors that can also qualify.  The information in the webinar will also be useful for students considering positions in the other majors identified below.

Here in ARIZONA, we are recruiting for EIGHT Student Interns and ONE Recent  Graduate listed in the third column below.  We would love to see your students applying to these opportunities especially those in Arizona.  We encourage interested students to learn more about the application process and be prepared by watching the following two videos:

As precautionary health measures are put in effect nationwide to reduce the spread of coronavirus, the USDA is taking steps to ensure the safety of its employees and customers. USDA Service Centers are open for business by phone appointment only. While our program delivery staff will continue to come into to the office, they will be working with our agriculture producers by phone and using email and online tools whenever possible. Producers should contact their local service center by phone to schedule time for program or loan services needed. For the latest information on Service Center operations, visitwww.farmers.gov/coronavirus.
