Dear friends and colleagues,
We are looking for a recent graduate (BS or MS) who would like to pursue employment with USDA/ARS as a Range Technician (position description attached). The candidate must have received his/her degree within the past 24 months. The position opens February 18, 2020, and has the potential to be extended beyond 1 year. The primary duties will be to assist with cattle research and routine livestock/ranch management. We seek a candidate with strong technical skills, but also with good animal husbandry knowledge. Someone with ranching background that feels comfortable on horseback is highly desirable. If you know of any qualified individuals, please have them contact Andres Cibils (acibils at ad.nmsu.edu), Sheri Spiegal (Sheri.Spiegal at usda.gov), or Rick Estell (Rick.Estell at usda.gov). Andres and Sheri will be at the SRM meeting, and will be available to discuss the position with potential applicants.
