Northeast Climate Adaptation Science Center
Duty Station: St. Paul, MN
The U.S. Geological Survey seeks an ecologist for a full-time, 4 year, time-limited position located within the Department of Interior’s Northeast Climate Adaptation Science Center. The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical support and research on the impacts of climate on eastern US ecosystems and species of conservation interest including: 1) quantitative analysis on impacts of climate to future species distribution, occupancy, and health at relevant spatial and temporal scales, 2) analysis of uncertainty on the impacts of climate to species and habitat, 3) research on the impacts of climate on ecological outcomes including key focal terrestrial and aquatic systems, 4) research to develop and implement predictive ecosystem models that account for the influences of processes operating at multiple scales, and 5) communication of these to natural resource managers.
