UA Gila County Cooperative Extension is hiring a contract position to assist with rangeland monitoring on the Tonto National Forest from the end of October 2018 to March 2019. Preferred skills include: plant identification and knowledge of monitoring techniques (dry weight rank, frequency, fetch utilization). Work is primarily outdoors and involves standing and hiking; it also involves driving 4WD vehicles/ATVs over rough terrain, exposure to variable environmental conditions, and occasional overnight camping in remote locations.
