Hello everyone,

I am sending you this vacancy announcement in hopes that you will help give it wide distribution, because this could be an incredible opportunity for someone who enjoys working in the natural resources field and building a strong future for students.   It was for me.  I expected to retire from this position after 10 years, but enjoyed the work so much I am having a hard time letting go (I am still here after 14 years).  I can’t say anything negative about the set up and support I have had. The faculty are young, energetic, dedicated, supportive, and experienced. Leadership through the faculty head and dean is open to new ideas, focused on future, and very supportive. We are located on the Polytechnic Campus where there is an atmosphere of a smaller college and professors get to know and interact with students more easily.  There are also opportunities for the person in this position to work with federal, state and private organizations (or individuals) while conducting monitoring, research, or providing internship opportunities for students. I also enjoyed coaching the plant ID, the undergraduate range management teams, and other student contests sponsored by the Society for Range Management.
