The NJ WS Program is advertising for two GS-0404 06/07, wildlife technician positions.  The positions will be responsible for resolving human wildlife conflicts by providing technical assistance to callers over the phone, as well as, providing direct control to resolve wildlife damage associated with turkey, swans, and deer.  The two positions will be stationed at Pittstown and Pomona, NJ.  The assignments involve conducting an integrated wildlife damage management approach to reduce human-wildlife conflicts.  The positions will include the dispersal of birds and mammals, trapping of animals, the use of firearms, chemical immobilization and euthanizing mammals.  The positions will be 13-month term appointments that may be renewed up to 4 times.
