WILDLIFE BIOLOGY TECHNICAN

The Safford Ranger District on the Coronado National Forest is looking to hire two wildlife biology technician seasonals to work through the end of September. The wildlife tech seasonals will work under the direction of the district wildlife biologist to carry out wildlife surveys and conservation work. Specific duties will include working on conservation actions following the 2017 Frye Fire such as implementing a Mt. Graham red squirrel conservation program and possibly assisting with activities related to other threatened and endangered species. The majority of the work will occur in the field; however, some office time will be required. We are looking for individuals with field experience, excellent interpersonal skills, commitment to teamwork, knowledge of wildlife management, a willingness to collaborate and engage in partnerships, and strong written and oral communication skills.

This positions is temporary, has a Not-to-Exceed date and will be filled for up to 6 months.
