Subject: Kimberly CEAP scientist position

I hope you don’t mind me using the CEAP email list to advertise our new scientist position at Kimberly. Please forward to anyone who may be interested in applying. The announcement will only be open August 10 to August 30.

The incumbent will conduct independent and team research to evaluate the effects of agricultural practices, land use, and climate change on water quantity and quality at field, farm, and watershed scales. The overall goal is to improve water and nutrient use in irrigated crop and dairy production systems. As a Research Soil Scientist/Agricultural Engineer/Chemist, the incumbent will: develop and evaluate management practices that improve water and nutrient use efficiency; evaluate the effects of changing practices, land use and climate on the water quality and quantity at field, farm, and watershed scales; develop new knowledge about the physical and chemical processes influencing water and nutrient transport in soils, streams, and aquifers; and report research results and transfer technology in support of research project.
