Hello all-

I pulled each of your emails from the section webpage forrangelands.org and am hoping that you can help the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest outreach many range management summer positions for the 2018 season. I chose you all, hoping that you have contacts to advisors for universities with range programs or that have teams for the plant ID competition or URME. I have attached the outreach announcement with anticipated dates for the application period and would be happy to answer questions that you or potential applicants have about the positions. These are 1039 positions, so there is no requirement that applicants be students in 2018. Please share widely.

For the scientific study, protection and management of rangeland resources, mainly grazing lands managed by ecological principles.

Generally speaking, the positions include range monitoring (upland and riparian), invasive weeds mapping and treatment, and basic compliance checks for permit administration. Must be an United States citizen. This is a great opportunity to gain on the ground experience in rangeland management in southwest Montana.
